Jose Mourinho being sarcastic and passive aggressive? Well we never!

Even by the Tottenham manager’s standards, his latest Instagram post is pure gold.

In case you weren’t aware, Mourinho really isn’t a big fan of the international break, and the Spurs boss has even more reason to dislike it now.

Matt Doherty tested positive for coronavirus after he played for the Republic of Ireland against Wales on Sunday, having hugged Spurs teammate Gareth Bale after the match, while Son Heung-min was forced to quarantine in a hotel in Austria after six of his South Korea team-mates caught the virus.

Turns out footballers travelling all over the world during a global pandemic isn’t the best idea.

Mourinho shared a picture of himself in the gym and wrote (with just a hint of sarcasm): “Amazing week of football. Great emotions in the national team matches, superb friendlies and total safety.

“Covid test results after matches been played, randomers running on the pitch while team sessions are taking place and much more.
“After another training session with only 6 players, it is now time to take care of myself.”

Mourinho has become quite the phenomenon on Instagram, from moody pics from the team bus to little jigs after victories.

But this one might just be our favourite so far.
