About 43 protesters on Thursday slept overnight at the entrance of the Lagos House of Assembly, Ikeja as part of the call to see an end to SARS over their incessant extortion and brutality of citizens.
The youths built tents at the entrance of the Assembly which was later dismantled by security operatives who were reportedly ordered to disperse protesters.
About 11.30pm, the streetlights which span the entire road along the assembly complex that provided illumination to the protesters were put off as police trucks surrounded the protesters.
This caused a scare as the protesters feared they may be attacked.
The lights were however turned on shortly before the Lagos state assembly speaker arrived to address the crowd.
Popular comedian, Debo Adebayo, known as Mr Macaroni, who also joined the protesters, lamented the actions of FSAR operatives.
