The Champions League groups have been decided – and Manchester United have been handed the toughest draw of the Premier League clubs.
United have been pitted against last season’s runner-up, Paris Saint-Germain, as well as semi-finalists RB Leipzig and Istanbul Basaksehir, in Group H.
Six-time winners Liverpool will take on Ajax, Atalanta and Midtjylland in Group D, while Man City will come up against Porto, Olympiakos and Marseille in Group C.
Chelsea have been placed in Group E alongside Europa League winners Sevilla, Russian side Krasnodar and Champions League debutants Stade Rennais.
Group G sees the world’s two best players face off – as Juventus and Barcelona are paired together.
Remarkably, it will be the first time Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will meet in the group stage of the Champions League.
Elsewhere, holders Bayern Munich will come up against Atletico Madrid, with Red Bull Salzburg and Lokomotiv Moscow joining the two giants in Group A.
Borussia Dortmund will be confident of progression from in Group F, where they will face Zenit St Petersburg, Lazio and Club Brugge.
Spanish champions Real Madrid will take on Inter Milan, Shakhtar Donetsk and Borussia Monchengladbach in Group B.
The group stage begins in the week of October 20/21 with the final matches on December 8/9.
The knockout stage then begins next February with the final scheduled to take place on May 29 at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul.
