Grammy award-winning rapper Cardi B has reportedly filed for divorce from her American rapper Offset after three-years of marriage. Reports revealed that Cardi B, real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, started the divorce proceedings at a court in Georgia on September 15.

Although the couple’s secret wedding in 2017 came public in 2018, their marital issues started around the same year as hubby, Offset was accused of cheating. Recalled news went viral somewhere in Cardi B decided she had enough of Offset and decided to severed the marriage but her estranged husband begged for forgiveness.
He said at the time: “I only got one birthday wish and that’s to get my wife back Cardi. We’re going through a lot of things right now, a lot of things in the media. I want to apologize to you Cardi. I embarrassed you. I made you go crazy.”
He also apologized for “partaking in an activity that [he] shouldn’t have been partaking in.” Moved by her love for Offset, their love journey went back on track with the couple agreeing to give it another shot.
“I believe in forgiveness. I prayed on it. Me and my husband, we prayed on it. We had priests come to us. And we just came to an understanding like, bro, it’s really us against the world,” Cardi B said at the start of January 2020 while speaking on her husband’s infidelity during a candid interview with Vogue.
