Real Madrid believe they can sign long-term transfer target Kylian Mbappe NEXT summer.
Los Blancos have wanted the France superstar for some time but the forward move to Paris Saint-Germain three summers ago when he left Monaco.
Now, though, the Spanish title winners are hopeful Mbappe will not sign a new contract in the French capital, with his current deal ending in 2022.
And this would allow them to be at the head of the queue for the jet-heeled World Cup winner.
According to Marca, Real feel they will also be able to get him for cheaper when he has just one year left on his deal, which would be vital in the current economic circumstances.
Mbappe joined PSG in 2017 for £166million and has gone on to score 90 times in 120 games for the French champions.
Last summer, while receiving the UNFP Player of the Season award, Mbappe teased a potential move in the future.
“It’s a very important moment for me, I come to a turning point in my career,” he said.
“I have discovered a lot here, and I feel it is maybe the moment to have more responsibility.
“I hope that can perhaps be at Paris Saint-Germain, that would be a great pleasure. Or maybe elsewhere with a new project.”
